Installation Instructions for Loose Laid Floated
Flooring
1.) Install the precut 3/8” thick perimeter isolation barrier vertically around the perimeter of the entire floor, piping, and all other obstacles. The perimeter isolation barrier must be installed prior to the ProZorb installation or leave 3/8" expansion / acoustic gap Use Adhesive Spray to attach foam to wall. Never mechanically fasten the barrier with screws, nails or staples as this will severely diminish the acoustical value of the entire sound rated floor system. 2.) Roll out the ProZorb and install flush to the perimeter isolation foam. Make sure that ProZorb edges are tightly butted together and tape long edges together using a good quality duct tape (never overlap the edges). 3.) Install the laminate flooring. the flooring is to float or be loose laid on top of the ProZorb Underlay. 4.) Trim back the perimeter isolator to the height of the finished floor using an utility knife. Install base boards ¼” off the finished hardwood floor to prevent flanking paths. Caulk gap using Sound Seal acoustic caulk (optional). Note: Failure to follow installation instruction could result in voided warranty
